Your skills, qualifications & experience
Essential
• PhD, Masters or Bachelor’s Degree (depending on career level) in a quantitative field (Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Computer Science with emphasis in Statistics)
• Substantial experience of practical statistical analysis and predictive analytics execution experience
• A background in using advanced analytics
Desirable
• Substantial experience in data and statistics software (e.g. R, Python, use of HDFS, note that at present we principally use R)
• Substantial experience of leading advanced modelling techniques with the application of statistics/econometrics/machine learning or other modelling techniques to business problems
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Cloudera, etc.
• Experience in visualisation analytics technologies like Tableau, Qlikview.
Vetting:
This role will require Managment Vetting (MV) and Security Clearance (SC).

This role will require you to undertake a vigorous vetting procedure. You will need to have lived in the UK continuously for the past five years and have no restrictions on your stay in the UK. If you have been abroad during the last five years while serving in the UK Armed Forces or working for the UK government your application will still be considered.
You can be of any nationality to apply, providing you have the status of indefinite leave to remain and work in the UK. If you are a UK citizen or citizen of a member state of the EEA, you will have this status. If you are a citizen of a non-EEA state, you must be able to provide evidence of your passport and residency documentation.
