ROCU - County Lines Taskforce - Sergeant
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise investigations
- Ability to uphold professional standards of behaviour, acting honestly and ethically, and challenges unprofessional conduct or discriminatory behaviour.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely in any given situation.
- Able to work effectively in a close working team environment to achieve shared objectives, demonstrating awareness of individual differences and providing support as required.
- Able to manage resources and performance effectively.
- Evaluate threat and risk to public safety when policing and communicate with other police officers to ensure prompt action to risk where appropriate and within tactics and plans.
- Able to deliver intelligence briefings, taskings and debriefings
- Manage flow of intelligence into County Lines Taskforce
- Ability to clearly present the unit’s performance against the allocated metrics
Essential Skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership skills within the role of a Sergeant.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels, written and verbally in any given situation.
- Works in partnership with other agencies to deliver the best possible overall service to the public.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.
- Understanding of the use of police intelligence
- Knowledge and experience of supervising investigations requiring telecommunications data as evidence
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions in line with the National Decision Making Model (NDM) and the THRIVE + risk assessment framework.
- Able to understand and apply general policing legislation.
- To undertake any training commensurate with the role.
Desirable Attributes:
- Proactive approach supervising the investigation crime
- Proven experience of working collaboratively with other departments and agencies.
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of applying for and obtaining search warrants.
- Awareness of the appropriate legislating to obtain warrants.
- Experience in the use of covert tactics
