Knowledge, Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Prior experience in implementing and evaluating resourcing interventions that have a visible impact on organisational success
  • Experience in managing, developing and delivering a first class resourcing function within a relatively large and fast moving organisation, with evidence of proven results
  • Prior experience of / able to demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, the use of Diversity & Inclusion (Positive Action) in resourcing initiatives
  • In depth knowledge of resourcing practices and their contribution to business success
  • Confident to deliver presentations and training internally & externally  
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships (including commissioning services) and working with partners, suppliers and expert advisers)
  • Influential (both up and down)
  • Creative
  • Collaborative
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Able to attend and travel to internal & external events including assessment centres, careers events, university engagements

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working within public sector ideally within policing
  • Experience in the design of resourcing initiatives at a strategic and operational level
  • MCIPD or equivalent, relevant professional qualification

 Contract Basis: This opportunity is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract
