Role Purpose:
  • Develop, Lead and promote a holistic approach to resourcing, which underpins delivery of the WMP2020 workforce vision and values, and People Deal
  • Engage with leaders and individuals to encourage a proactive and inclusive approach to resourcing
  • Oversee effective delivery of all recruitment activity into the Force
  • Develop, lead and deliver a force wide resourcing and recruitment strategy
  • Lead the force recruitment campaign to deliver the diverse workforce objectives within the D & I strategy
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of resourcing and recruitment activity to provide workforce metrics and qualitative data to improve performance and minimize adverse impact
  • Lead partnership working internally and with other external organisations, agencies and suppliers
Must Haves:
  • Significant and extensive experience in implementing and evaluating resourcing and recruitment interventions that have a visible impact on organisational success in comparable large, complex organisations
  • Experience of leading a resourcing/recruitment function within a large complex organisation (including strategy leadership, development and implementation)
  • In depth knowledge of resourcing/recruitment practices and their contribution to business success
  • Experience of managing/delivering high profile volume recruitment activity
  • Experience of delivering diversity through recruitment strategies and initiatives including positive action strategy
  • Force lead for all resourcing and recruitment
  • Shape and evolve a world class approach to resourcing and recruitment that builds the culture in line with the Force’s vision and values
  • Develop and lead an integrated and strategic approach to resourcing and recruitment, aligning with the Force’s workforce strategy and approach
  • Develop a compelling and effective resourcing proposition, which delivers a holistic approach for the Force and delivers the diversity that reflects all communities of the West Midlands
Desirable:
  • Extensive and expert experience in the design of resourcing initiatives at a strategic and operational level
  • Contract management and procurement experience
Qualifications:
  • MCIPD or equivalent, relevant professional qualification
