Freedom of Information Manager
- In-depth knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act and associated legislation, guidance and codes of practice.
- Substantial experience of providing advice and conveying complex messages to both internal and external audiences.
- Significant experience of constructing legal submissions in response to Information Tribunals or ICO appeals.
- Educated to degree level or have relevant experience.
- Substantial experience of leading and developing professional and customer-focused teams with specialist skills within an information disclosure/Freedom of Information environment.
- Significant experience of dealing with covert, sensitive and operationally important information.
- Experience of National Police Chief Council courses and relevant experience related to FOI and Disclosure.
- Experience of managing a team within an Information Disclosure environment.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes and influence policy.
- Experience of appropriately handling potentially harmful information.
- Experience of representing organisations at tribunals.
