Role Responsibilities:
- Complete CT awareness advice delivery such as the National Training Project ACT, ARGUS and Document Awareness, having identified and prioritised sectors and sites with the CTSA Supervisor. These may be for CP, HSS, CNI, Government Agencies, Internal Police departments or others, in the Force or Region; they may be tailored to the audience and may complement CTSA activity.
- Liaise with key stakeholders in order to maximise CT awareness delivery. Stakeholders will include representatives from industry, government and emergency services, and include the wider Police family.
- Prioritise National, Regional and Force tasks and use appropriate resources to support the completion of the tasks.
- Complete, maintain and submit accurate and timely records such as Management Information Returns (MIR) for CT performance, records of activity at sites and contact databases.
- Maintain and develop professional capability as a CTAA. This will require attending mandatory training and a good knowledge of CT awareness products.
- Maintain knowledge of groups, attack methodologies and current affairs relating to terrorism and extremism.
- Complete tasks that are consistent with the CTAA role, grade and funding, as required by national tasking or regional CTSA Supervisor.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- Be willing to attain and maintain professional Capability as a CTAA.
- Evidence of excellent IT skills, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Have experience and evidence of competent and effective presenting to large groups.
- Flexibility to present at sites and events across the Region, at direction of CTSA Supervisor.
- Knowledge of groups, attack methodologies and current affairs relating to terrorism and extremism.
- Full Driving Licence.
- Achieve and maintain vetting to a minimum of ‘security cleared’ status.
- Be able to work agile and from different locations across the West Midlands Region when the need arises.

Desirable Skills and Competencies:
- Experience in counter terrorism or of crime prevention, architectural design, planning, or engineering that is relevant to CP, HSS or CNI.
- Knowledge of business continuity and resilience.
- Resource management (e.g. efficient use of people or equipment).
