Counter Terrorism Supervisor - CBRN Capabilities Project Officer
Role Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to develop the multi-agency Service’s capability to respond to CBRN terrorism and contribute to the overall vision & mission of the N CBRN C.
- Support procurement arrangements and associated user trails of any new PPE and equipment.
- Support and maintain strategic reserves of PPE and ancillary equipment.
- To work closely with NPoCC, regional coordination centres, and emergency service partners to develop and test mobilisation requirements.
- To assist with the administrative functions relating to new and existing procurement projects.
- Maintain and manage existing contracts and suppliers relationships in partnership with our procurement partners.
- As a member of the Duty Officer Cadre, to perform on call duties as per the authorised duty rota.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- CBRN responder background.
- Experience of multi-agency working.
- Experience of operational and/or contingency planning and the development of guidance, plans and processes.
- Can work co-operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team, service and organisational goals.
- Explains complex issues, making them easy to understand within a multi-agency environment. Makes sure that important messages are being communicated and understood throughout the organisation and to other stakeholders – actively listens.
- Gathers information from a range of sources to understand situations, ensure it is reliable and accurate.
- Analyses data to identify key issues and problems.
- Uses evidence effectively through analysis to identify requirements and considers alternative courses of action to make sound decisions.

- Provide specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues, partners and other individuals and agencies.
- Understanding of the CBRN business area in a multi-agency environment.

Desirable Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of National Emergency Services’ CBRN capabilities, structures and planning processes.
- An excellent communicator to all audiences, sound decision maker with a flexible approach. Takes personal responsibility for making things happen and achieving results.
- Tactical Advisor – CBRN, Public Order or Firearms (if not already qualified the post holder will be expected to achieve the police CBRN TA qualification).
- Experience in providing specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues and agencies to support the achievement of organisational objectives and enable compliance with organisational policy.
- Competent in the use of MS Office products (Project & Excel).
