Community Engagement Officer - Commonwealth Games Planning Team (2 year fixed term contract/secondment)
The Person
The Community Engagement
Officer post- holder will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
and an ability to develop and sustain a range of partnership relationships,
which includes the ability to plan and deliver presentations to a range of
audiences.
You will foster
a culture of inclusion and be able to work effectively amongst a diverse team,
creating strong engagement in order to meet performance objectives whilst
embodying Force values and behaviours.
You will have clear knowledge and
understanding of the diversity and inclusion agenda and once in post, will have
the ability to develop an understanding of WMP strategy for diversity and
inclusion and how this links to building engagement in our communities.
The post holder will be skilled in
engaging a diverse range of stakeholders and enabling effective collaboration
which draws upon a broad range of skill sets, whilst being able to communicate
with a variety of audiences through a range of media to inform and / or
persuade.
You will be knowledgeable and
competent in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Powerpoint, and have the
ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks.

Conditions
This is a 2 year fixed term contract
The
successful applicant will be expected to commit to remain in the role until the
delivery of the Commonwealth Games in August 2022 and for post event reporting (unless
there are exceptional circumstances).
The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate vetting.
