Citizens in Policing Manager
Qualifications
You will have:
- Project
Management experience (scoping, planning, budgeting and execution)
- Networking, engagement, persuasion,
influencing and communication skills
- Effective leadership ability
- Be able to build and maintain effective
collaborative relationships, both internally and externally
- Have the ability to set plans at a strategic
level incorporating aggressive timescales and managing to successful
completion
- Have experience in a relevant field
- Experience of managing projects within a
public sector environment
- Ability to formulate policies and procedures
- Be familiar with self-inspection processes via
audit and review methods
- Have previous experience of working with
volunteers
- Have strong problem solving and analytical
skills, as well as the ability to negotiate and influence decisions at a
senior level
- Possess excellent written, oral and
presentations skills
- Be able to use diplomacy and critical
reasoning to take decisive action under pressure
- Be able to see the ‘bigger picture’ but be able
to translate and describe in detailed plan form
- Understand the strategic aims and objectives
of the organisation and work at a strategic level with senior members of
staff
Conditions
The role is based at West Midlands Police head- quarters
at Lloyd House, in Birmingham city centre. The post holder will be contracted
to work for 36.5 hours per week, but will need to be flexible to meet the
demands of the role, sometimes working outside of normal core hours. The post
holder will also support and attend numerous volunteer events at a range of
locations across the region, often in the evening or at weekends.
