Training Officer CBRN Training Centre - Secondment
Role Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team to maintain and develop the multi-agency
Service’s capability to respond to CBRN terrorism and contribute to the overall
vision & mission of the N CBRN C.
Developing, designing, delivering, evaluating and quality assuring
training materials to encourage individual learning
Responsible for ensuring quality
in training and development programmes through delivery of cost effective
training in support of the CBRN strategy.
Day to day decision making
within the classroom environment.
Maintaining and developing a high level of subject knowledge, both in
training and operationally.
Building and developing relationships with external agencies and
suppliers.
Developing and maintaining senior level relationships
Undertake any duties tasked by line manager or management colleagues.
To be part of the on-call (24/7) Operations Centre Cadre.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
Minimum Level 3 training
qualification
CBRN Trainer
CBRN Responder background.
Experience of design,
development, delivery or management of emergency service training programmes.
Experience of multi-agency
working.
Understanding and/or awareness
of current operational multi-agency CBRN issues.
Ability to implement change across team to improve operational effectiveness.
Desirable Skills and Competencies:
A1 or equivalent assessor award
Licenced Search officer (LSO) or Police Licenced Search Advisor (PoLSA)
Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) trained
Experience of having managed multiple work-streams, projects or
demands.
Knowledge of National Emergency Services’ CBRN capabilities, structures
and planning processes.
An excellent communicator to all audiences, sound decision maker with a
flexible approach. Takes personal responsibility for making things happen and
achieving results.
Personable and approachable with a strong focus on people.
Tactical Advisor – CBRN, Public Order or Firearms
NB.
If not already qualified the post-holder will be expected to achieve the police
CBRN TA qualification.
Experience in providing
specialist advice and knowledge to colleagues and agencies to support the
achievement of organisational objectives and enable compliance with
organisational policy.
Experienced in the use of MS Office products (Word, PowerPoint &
Outlook).
Competent in the use of MS Office products (Project & Excel).
