Traffic Advisor - Commonwealth Games
The Person
The Traffic Advisor will have recent experience (within the last 3 years) as a qualified traffic policing officer with knowledge of all aspects of traffic policing, including Special Escort Group (SEG).
You will be skilled in the planning and deployment of traffic policing assets at large scale events and display a sound knowledge and have experience of the principles of event security planning.
In addition, you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to develop and sustain a range of partnership relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, enabling effective collaboration which draws upon a broad range of skill sets.
You will be able to identify relevant potential opportunities/threats and assess the impact of events and trends to inform internal planning activity.
You will also foster a culture of inclusion and be able to work effectively amongst a diverse team, creating strong engagement in order to meet performance objectives whilst embodying Force values and behaviours.
Conditions
This role is a 2 year fixed contract opportunity.
The successful applicant will be expected to commit to remain in the role until the delivery of the Commonwealth Games in August 2022 and for post event reporting (unless there are exceptional circumstances).
