Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:
  • Educated to HND level or have suitable experience in a relevant field
  • Equality Act 2010 and WMP responsibility under this
  • Management of small to medium risk projects
  • Managing multiple work streams
  • Good understanding of the impact of sexual offences both on victim, within teams  and across organisations
Desirable:
  • Qualified or working towards a recognised PPM qualification would be desirable but not essential  
  • Managing a number of different stakeholders operating in a matrix management environment
  • Managing senior stakeholders including those from third sector organisations
Skills:
  
Essential:
  • Project management (scoping panning an execution)
  • Risk and issue management
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicts (people and tasks)
  • Networking, engagement, persuasion, influencing and communication skills
  • Ability to write reports suitable for circulation at Executive level
  • Ability to review and evaluate work streams and adapt implementation based upon the review
  • Ability to show tact and diplomacy managing sensitive issues in a discreet manner
  • Access to own vehicle and business insurance to support agile working
Desirable:
  • Ability to present to large audiences with confidence
  • Ability to build effective collaborative relationships with a wide range of professionals within and around West Midlands Police
  • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary and multi-agency groups to achieve optimum outcome for all parties
