Senior Intelligence Manager
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential
• Experience in a leadership role, evidencing management and development of staff
• Understanding of National legislation and local policy which provides a context to the intelligence environment
• Practical experience of decision making within a management/leadership role
• Evidence of leading change within a management/leadership role
• Leading People, inspiring people to meet challenging goals, maintaining the momentum of change
• Managing performance translating strategy into specific plans and actions, effectively managing competing priorities with available resources.
• Professionalism - acting with integrity, in line with the values and ethical standards of the Police Service.
• Working with others building effective working relationships with people through clear communication and a collaborative approach.
• Practical experience of presenting to a varied audience
• Effective negotiation and influencing skills
Desirable
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Understands partners' perspectives and priorities, and works co-operatively with them to deliver the best possible overall service to the public.
Hours
The role will primarily be Monday to Friday although the successful applicant must be flexible as there will be occasional weekend working.
Special Conditions
The post holder will be required to work from a number of locations across the force area and will be required to travel between these locations.
Vetting:
This role will require Management Vetting (MV) and Security Clearance (SC).
The interviews for this role will take place week commencing 2nd August 2021.
Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully passing vetting and medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
