Senior Analyst
- Set the analytical priorities for the team, ensuring that Strategic tasking are met within a timely manner.
- Lead on the development and delivery of the WMCTU Strategic Assessment and subsequent collection startegies.
- Direct and manage the workload of their subordinate Higher Analysts.
- Work to a high level of integrity, routinely handling Secret information, and as such following GSC and other guidance with regard to handling and storing this data.
- Effective liaison with a variety of National Agencies, including Army, Police Forces / CT Capabilities, Local Authorities and other specialist.
- Delivery of effective presentations and briefings.
- To represent the WMCTU and present at regional and national forums.
- Provide comprehensive analytical products that interpret intelligence and provide clear understanding and guidance to drive the proactive acquisition of further intelligence and evidence.
- Identify risk, threat, vulnerabilities and opportunities in support of national security operations.
- Offer specialist guidance, influencing decision making of Police Senior Investigating Officers, Intelligence Managers and Intelligence Officers regarding live operations.
- Act as Fusion Manager in the event of a no notice terrorist incident
Significant experience of
managing a team.
Experience of successfully managing own workload and that of others
Knowledge of current global affairs with a focus on Terrorism and Security
Demonstrable knowledge of the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
To be able to collate, evaluate, structure and process data to identify patterns, series, similarities and discrepancies within a variety on information types
Experience of preparing and conducting briefings and seminars.
Experience of critical and strategic thinking
Experience of preparing and conducting training
Excellent computer skills including the use of Windows based software
Excellent communication skills in presenting analytical findings in verbal, graphical and written forms, ensuring these meet user needs
Must have ability to build rapport with peers and superiors to influence and negotiate to a successful conclusion
Must be able to manage own workload and that of others
Desirable Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of processing data using statistical and graphic tools.
Membership of accredited intelligence, security or analytical body
