- Confirmed in the rank of Constable.
- Demonstrate by example an ability to be an innovative problem solver and show a high degree of self-motivation.
- Demonstrate by example a positive approach to partnerships and working with other agencies along with the ability to coordinate multi-agency activity.
- Demonstrate by example a working knowledge of the National Intelligence Model and Regional Tasking processes in order to understand threat, risk and harm across the West Midlands Region.
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of legislation and procedure associated with the investigation of Serious and Organised crime i.e. RIPA, PACE, CPIA, POCA, DPA.
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate confidently to a variety of audiences.
- Work effectively as part of a team and develop relationships across the organisation and with external partners, stakeholders and relevant bodies.
- Demonstrate an ability to work with limited supervision; planning and prioritising own workload.
- Maintain a tactful and professional approach and ensure that working practices are consistent.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the Government Agency Intelligence Network.
- Able to attain and maintain SC and MV vetting level.
- Prepared to work as, when and where required subject to relevant employment law and police regulations showing a flexible working approach to working hours and location throughout the West Midlands Region as dictated by operational demand.
Desirable criteria:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the National Crime Agency Disruption Manual and College of Policing’s “Disrupting SOC Criminals – Menu of Tactics”.
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge and competent level of experience in respect of conducting investigations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the cyber and digital environment and understand the practical challenges this presents.
