Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
- Serving sergeant within either Staffordshire,
Warwickshire, West Mercia or West Midlands Police forces.
- Possesses or working towards completion of
ISDP
- Proven investigatory supervision experience
involving complex crime investigations
- Experience of managing sensitive high profile
enquiries and exhibiting high standards of integrity and
professionalism
Desirable:
- Experience of working with RIPA legislation,
structure and practices
- Experience of covert policing techniques
- Experience of managing officers within a major
investigation environment
- Working knowledge of the National Decision
Making Model, THRIVE+ and dealing with threat, harm and risk.
- Have a valid UK driving licence and basic
police driving grade.
Skills
Essential:
- Effective interpersonal and
communication skills
- Effective management of file building
skills including disclosure principles and presenting complex information.
- Effective management of exhibits skills
