ROCU - County Lines Taskforce – Police Staff Investigating Officer (PSIO)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the use of Covert policing tactics
- Investigate drug dealing criminality and identify opportunities to enforce
- Interview suspects of County Lines
- Interview victims of County Lines
- Prepare casefiles for court
- Apply for and interpret telecommunications data
- Present telecommunications data in evidence
- Review and exploit digital evidence
- Identify opportunities to disrupt County Lines criminals through various court orders
Essential Skills:
- Experience and knowledge of applying for telecommunications data
- Experience and knowledge of using covert policing tactics
- Demonstrate knowledge of all current legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role
- Knowledge of Custody including interviewing of suspects, criminal justice agencies and court procedures
- Understanding of how to gathering evidence from intelligence
- Understanding file preparation including disclosure.
Desirable Attributes:
- Proactive approach to investigating crime
- Proven experience of working collaboratively with other departments and agencies.
- Ability to download and analyse phone data
- Ability to interpret telecommunications data

Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully passing vetting and medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
