Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the use of Covert policing tactics
  • Investigate drug dealing criminality and identify opportunities to enforce
  • Interview suspects of County Lines
  • Interview victims of County Lines
  • Prepare casefiles for court
  • Apply for and interpret telecommunications data
  • Present telecommunications data in evidence
  • Review and exploit digital evidence
  • Identify opportunities to disrupt County Lines criminals through various court orders

Essential Skills:

  • Experience and knowledge of applying for telecommunications data
  • Experience and knowledge of using covert policing tactics
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all current legislation, policies and procedures relevant to the role
  • Knowledge of Custody including interviewing of suspects, criminal justice agencies and court procedures
  • Understanding of how to gathering evidence from intelligence
  • Understanding file preparation including disclosure.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Proactive approach to investigating crime
  • Proven experience of working collaboratively with other departments and agencies.
  • Ability to download and analyse phone data
  • Ability to interpret telecommunications data

Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully passing vetting and medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a fitness test.
