Essential:

• Must have completed the national training for Analysts (or equivalent) OR equivalent Performance training
• Analysis and the application of analytical techniques
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities 
• Ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment, should be able to appropriately prioritise and plan own work

Desirable: 

• Experience of working with sensitive products and intelligence. 
• Experience working in a police intelligence environment and with relevant police intelligence systems; 
• Experience of relevant analytical tools, such as iBASE, i2 workstation, GIS applications and other customised databases
• Experience  in the use of use IT packages, systems and/or databases involved in analysing, interpreting, storing, and presenting data
• Educated to degree level. 
• Knowledge/experience of the OCGM process.

Other Requirements:

• Vetting required to SC (Enhanced)
• Occasional work outside of normal office hours
• The post holder will need to have a driving license 
• The post holder may be required to use their own vehicle so the individual will need to ensure that they have business use cover within their insurance
• The post holder may be required to work from different locations other than ROCU (outside the Birmingham area)
• The post holder will be expected to undertake training as and when required
• The post holder will be expected to comply with health and safety requirements
