Role outline:
To make contact with Victims and suspects to offer Restorative Justice (RJ) as a resolution to their incident
To visit victims and suspects to discuss the incident they were involved in
To assess victims and suspects for suitability to take part in any RJ intervention
To co-ordinate, arrange and conduct Restorative Justice Interventions and Meetings
To follow up any opportunities for engagement through referrals to other agencies
To ensure customer satisfaction is at the heart of their work
To be an ambassador for West Midlands Police and the WM Restorative Justice Service
To work with the West Midlands Restorative Justice Supervisor and other stakeholders to help create a safe and secure environment for all those using our service
To provide an outstanding victim led service at all times in line with the Restorative Justice Council 6 principles of RJ
Essential information:

We will induct and train you to carry out the role
You will undergo Standard Level 2 vetting; please note a time scale cannot be given for how long this will take. This is required due to some of the sensitive information you may come across
Volunteers successfully recruited to the role are required to provide a reference from someone who has known you for at least 2 years in an educational, professional or supportive capacity.
