Essential Knowledge
  • An understanding of what excellent service delivery looks and feels like.
  • Proven ability to follow set processes, procedures and policies, specifically Data Protection, Detained Property and MoPI (Management of Police Information).
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Effective team working experience.
Desirable Knowledge
  • Experience of working with Detained Property, Tape Libraries and Crime Files.
Skills
  • You should be a clear communicator with excellent verbal and written skills. 
  • Able to develop good working relationships with people.
  • Be goal orientated and customer and outcome focused.
  • Be inquisitive, flexible and adaptable. 
  • Able to learn new processes and systems quickly and effectively.
  • Have a can do attitude and be able to ‘think on your feet’.
  • Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be organised and able to prioritise.
  • Thrive in a pressured environment.
  • Be IT literate, including the effective use of MS Office. 

There is a requirement to work flexibly at all times with due regard to prevailing workloads and priorities. There may be a requirement to travel and work at other locations within the Force area based on priorities.

This new permanent roles has been created from September 2019, with funding until March 2024

Plans in place to move all staff to Perry Barr, Holford Drive in Spring 2020
