The successful candidate will have some knowledge or skill in the following areas:-
Ability to negotiate and influence people and partners
Sound intelligence background and proven experience in the investigation of intelligence
A willingness to drive operations targeting organised crime groups
Determination and self-motivation
Sound decision making, with an ability to manage complex change
Outstanding communication, report writing and interpersonal skills
Research, development and production of high quality intelligence reports that are able to support strategic or operational activity.
Have a detailed understanding of how OPT authorities operate, how they are used within an enquiry, and the legislation and guidelines that underpin them.
Experience of reactive and proactive investigations and display a sound awareness of information and evidence gathering techniques.
RIPA legislation governing covert surveillance and CHIS, and the general principles of the Human Rights Act 1998.
Understanding of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and the concept of risk-management
Liaison with a variety of law enforcement and other partner agencies on a broad range of partnership activities and proactive and reactive crime-related enquiries.
Understanding of the principles of ‘OCG Management’ and the ‘Integrated Operating Model’
