The successful candidate will have some knowledge or skill in the following areas:-
- Ability to negotiate and influence people and partners
- Sound intelligence background and proven experience in the investigation of intelligence
- A willingness to drive operations targeting organised crime groups
- Determination and self-motivation
- Sound decision making, with an ability to manage complex change
- Outstanding communication, report writing and interpersonal skills
- Research, development and production of high quality intelligence reports that are able to support strategic or operational activity.
- Have a detailed understanding of how OPT authorities operate, how they are used within an enquiry, and the legislation and guidelines that underpin them.
- Experience of reactive and proactive investigations and display a sound awareness of information and evidence gathering techniques.
- RIPA legislation governing covert surveillance and CHIS, and the general principles of the Human Rights Act 1998.
- Understanding of the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and the concept of risk-management
- Liaison with a variety of law enforcement and other partner agencies on a broad range of partnership activities and proactive and reactive crime-related enquiries.
- Understanding of the principles of ‘OCG Management’ and the ‘Integrated Operating Model’
