Police Dog Instructor - Puppy Development Programme
Knowledge & Experience (including qualifications)
- To possess Teaching Qualification at a minimum of Level 3
- To possess a Degree (or equivalent) in an animal/canine related subject
- To have an understanding of breeding protocols and blood lines
- To have experience of delivering dog training to groups & individuals
- To possess basic IT skills (Microsoft Office - Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Outlook)
- Full UK Driving licence
- To possess a First Aid Qualification
- To possess a Risk Assessment Qualification
- To possess an Assessors Qualification
- To have gained an NPCC GP or specialist instructors qualification
- To have experience of whelping
- To possess integrity and professionalism at the highest standard
- To be a dynamic, motivated individual who seeks a challenging role in Police Dog Training
- To be able to work with minimal supervision & use own initiative
- To be able to evidence a good level of management ability
- To be able to show a high level of flexibility
- To show a good understanding of innovative & effective training methods
- To have an analytical mind to identify problem solving solutions
- To demonstrate networking & relationship building skills
