- A good standard of education, with a strong maths qualification
- An understanding of quantitative and qualitative research and statistical techniques. This will include the ability to devise an empirical research proposal and determine the most appropriate methodology to formulate and test a hypothesis.
- Experience working in the business area of performance management, research or statistics
- Ability to research, collate, analyse and interpret data from a wide range of sources including computerised and manual record systems.
- Proven numerical ability
- Creating and presenting reports
- Able to work methodically and logically with an enquiring and analytical mind
- Intermediate to advanced excel user, including making pivot tables, databases and formulas
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with people at all levels
- Ability to prioritise own workload and manage competing demands
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision and use own initiative
- Ability to identify problems and seek appropriate solutions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Degree in a research/statistical discipline or other relevant subject (or demonstration of the intellectual abilities associated with that level)
- An understanding of performance management techniques
- Knowledge and experience or SQL programming
- Knowledge and experience of using SPSS or R
