The Role

Occupational health is a specialist branch of medicine that focuses on the relationship between work and health, considering both the physical and mental wellbeing of employees in the workplace. Opportunities exist for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to provide a significant contribution to the processes that provide support to existing staff and our recruitment and pre- employment procedures. You will be joining an expanding team with a vision to develop and progress, with a desire to operate at the forefront of Occupational Health service. The working environment allows for flexibility in working hours, with opportunities to develop specialisms within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data inputting including arranging appointments and updating the force medical system (e-opas)
  • Administering health checks for existing employees and potential employees
  • Administering drug testing results.
  • Ensuring the customer experience is at the center of the service delivered and that all transactions and services are delivered right first time, on time and in the simplest way.
  • Actively promote the use of self service and new ways of working to customers.





Essential Skills and Experience

  • Good telephone techniques and communication skills
  • Good written communication skills
  • A working knowledge of MS Word and MS Exce
  • Ability to learn and effectively use bespoke IT systems
  • Ability to follow process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow set processes, procedures and policies.
  • Experience of working in a transactional or customer service delivery environment with the ability to effectively respond to customer enquiries.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a team environment.
  • An awareness of service standards and an understanding of what excellent service delivery looks and feels like.
  • Conditions
This 36.5 hours per week and will be based at Tally Ho, Birmingham.
