Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
- Good general level of education
- Experience of working in a multi-agency environment and with professionals at all levels.
- Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally, showing sensitivity for others and valuing diversity.
- Significant experience of working in a busy, pressurised administrative environment.
- Good communication and listening
- Experience of scheduling meetings and arranging venues.
- Excellent administrative skills in particular producing agendas within set timescales, producing accurate minutes and clear action plans
- Good level of literacy and numeracy skills to support accurate data entry onto computer records; accurate spelling and filing; data analysis; and clear/concise written products
- Experience of using a range of IT and software packages, particularly document management systems and databases.
- Ability to set up and maintain systems
- Experience of working with confidential and disturbing information
- Ability to understand and apply local protocols including those relating to information sharing and multi-agency working.
- Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Commitment to services for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.
Desirable:
- Good understanding of domestic abuse and the role of agencies working together to protect victims.
