Knowledge & Experience 

 

Essential:

  • Good general level of education
  • Experience of working in a multi-agency environment and with professionals at all levels.
  • Ability to build effective relationships both internally and externally, showing sensitivity for others and valuing diversity.
  • Significant experience of working in a busy, pressurised administrative environment.
  • Good communication and listening 
  • Experience of scheduling meetings and arranging venues.
  • Excellent administrative skills in particular producing agendas within set timescales, producing accurate minutes and clear action plans
  • Good level of literacy and numeracy skills to support accurate data entry onto computer records; accurate spelling and filing; data analysis; and clear/concise written products
  • Experience of using a range of IT and software packages, particularly document management systems and databases.
  • Ability to set up and maintain systems
  • Experience of working with confidential and disturbing information
  • Ability to understand and apply local protocols including those relating to information sharing and multi-agency working.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to services for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.

 

Desirable:

  • Good understanding of domestic abuse and the role of agencies working together to protect victims.
