Essential Knowledge and Experience

You will:
  • have passion for multi-agency partnership working
  • have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with an ability to produce and critique reports and papers
  • have proven experience in supporting, negotiating and influencing at a strategic and tactical level
  • have the ability to deliver results in a pressured environment with the capacity to independently make rational decisions and take decisive action
  • be confident and capable in providing advice on policy, procedure and strategy up to and including strategic level
  • have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, engaging with multi-agency partners at all levels
  • be able to identify risks and issues, solve complex problems and innovate
  • be personably credible, with discretion and integrity
Desirable Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004
  • Be able to develop and implement delivery plans
  • Demonstrate project management experience
Interview

The process will be blind sifted by a multi - agency panel with a competency based interview based on the Job Description. All candidates will receive six marked questions with a work-placed scenario exercise to demonstrate relevant thinking an application of skills.

Conditions

Based at Tally Ho / Lloyd House the role has a fix term contract with contractual hours with agile / flexible working. The post holder may be required to work evenings or out of hours on occasions and may be required to travel across the force area.
