Investigator - ROCU (Regional Covert Investigations Unit)
Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Serving constable within either Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Mercia or West Midlands Police force
- Possesses or willing to work towards completion of ICIDP
- Proven investigatory experience involving complex crime investigations
- Experience of undertaking sensitive high profile enquiries with limited supervision and exhibit high standards of integrity and professionalism
Desirable:
- Experience of working with RIPA legislation, structure and practices
- Experience of covert policing techniques
- Experience in the role of Case / Exhibits/Disclosure/Intelligence Officer within a major investigation environment
- Experience of dealing with threat, harm and risk.
- Have a valid UK driving licence and basic police driving grade.
Skills
Essential:
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective file building skills including disclosure principles and presenting complex information.
- Effective management of exhibits skills
