Essential skills and experience

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three years’ experience as an analyst.
  • National Intelligence Analysis Training (NIAT) qualified.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills and techniques including knowledge and experience of working to the National Intelligence Model (NIM), structured analytical techniques (SATs) and other legislation pertinent to Intelligence.
  • Significant experience in Intelligence Analysis in law enforcement, government intelligence or similar.
  • Knowledge/experience of operational, tactical and strategic analysis.
  • Proven ability to effectively problem solve using research and analytical techniques, presenting complex issues in a way which makes them understandable to a range of audiences.
  • Experience of managing a diverse team including (but not limited to) managing HR issues, grievances, performance management, attendance issues, training and employee development.
  • Experience of working to multiple deadlines and delivering results through effective planning and organising. Ability to prioritise own time and workload, and that of a team, under pressure and with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, including knowledge of bespoke analytical software such as i2, ibase, GIS and the ability to query databases.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others to achieve goals.
  • Experience of building effective working relationships with a range of key stakeholders, including multiple partners.

Desirable Skills and experience

  • Experience of working with multiple partners.
  • Experience of OCGM and performance measurement.
  • Driving licence and flexibility to work remotely across the region if necessary.
