Essential Requirements:
- To have knowledge and experience of all aspects of the acquisition and disclosure of communications data;
- To have knowledge and experience of Investigatory Powers Act 2016, RIPA 2000 and Police Act 1997;
- Proven Leadership and Management ability;
- The ability to provide and present complex evidence;
- Experience and understanding of Quality Management Standards & Audit
- Knowledge of Criminal Justice System and the Evidential Process;
- Knowledge of Legal and Legislative requirements associated with the acquisition of communications data;
- Experience of delivering technological innovation into Business that has improved service delivery;
- Experience in managing projects to a regional level and national pilots;
- Proven ability to work at a high level, demonstrating competence of managing a team of accredited technical experts, and a forensic cell site analysis discipline whilst exercising strong leadership and motivating and developing staff with a positive organisation culture;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills both written and verbal;
- Ability to work under pressure with competing demands;
- Able to develop and proactively manage relationships with police investigators, key stakeholders and partners/customers;
- Well-developed skills in applying a business perspective to CDIU daily challenges including negotiating, positively influencing Senior Leadership Teams, problem-solving and project management skills.
- Operational experience of the acquisition and disclosure of communications data;
- Operational experience of covert / sensitive policing tactics;
- Demonstrable investigative skills within a police operational environment;
- Demonstrable intelligence gathering skills within a police operational environment;
- Home Office accreditation as a Single Point of Contact;
- Recognised qualification for conducting Radio Frequency Propagation Surveys.
