Firearms Advisor - Commonwealth Games
The Person
The Firearms Adviser will have recent experience as an operationally competent firearms officer. With experience of security coordinated operations and planning, you will be skilled in the planning and deployment of firearms assets at large scale events and have a sound knowledge and experience of the principles of major event security planning.
In addition you will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to develop and sustain a range of partnership relationships for the purposes of event planning. You will also be accomplished in the planning and delivery of presentations to a range of audiences.
You will also foster a culture of inclusion and be able to work effectively amongst a diverse team, creating strong engagement in order to meet performance objectives whilst embodying Force values and behaviours.
Conditions
This is a two year fixed term contract opportunity
The successful applicant will be expected to commit to remain in the role until the delivery of the Commonwealth Games in August 2022 and for post event reporting (unless there are exceptional circumstances).
