Essential:
- Previous investigatory experience
- Practical experience of Major Crime Investigations with a working knowledge of MIRSAP.
- Previous experience of working in a major incident room environment
- Working knowledge of Police IT systems, particularly HOLMES2
- Working knowledge of legislation and guidelines, namely
- Criminal Procedure & Investigations Act 1996 (as amended)
- Codes of Practice
- Attorney General’s Guidelines
- Disclosure Manual
- Major Incident Room Standardised Administration Procedures (MIRSAP)
- Health & Safety
- Previous knowledge of the Human Tissue Act 2004
- Effective communication skills using a
variety of methods to ensure clear, accurate and appropriate sharing of
information
- IT literate
- Manage own workload
- The ability to produce detailed, concise
and accurate reports with appropriate summaries
- Detailed negotiation skills
- Requirement to hold a full UK driving licence and pass the WMP driving test to drive Police vehicles escorting members of the public where necessary
- Ability to use their initiative
