- Proven management experience at a senior level.
- Effective networking, influencing and negotiation skills
- Extensive financial experience with proven knowledge and able to demonstrate successful budgetary control.
- Proven experience in evaluating and prioritising competing resource demands and managing multiple work streams.
- Wide ranging knowledge of current force policy and procedures across all business areas, with the skill to interpret the impact these may have on the organisation.
- Working knowledge of local & central estates, fleet and facilities usage and issues.
- A detailed understanding of the operational and cultural context within which the organisation works.
- Proven ability to research, develop and implement new policy and processes and provide advice to force management and other departments.
- Ability to formulate and implement business strategies within a corporate framework.
- Effective interpersonal skills; able to influence at the highest level of the organisation.
- Confident and informed decision making skills.
