Knowledge & Experience: 


Essential

  • Proven management experience at a senior level.
  • Effective networking, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Extensive financial experience with proven knowledge and able to demonstrate successful budgetary control.
  • Proven experience in evaluating and prioritising competing resource demands and managing multiple work streams.
  • Wide ranging knowledge of current force policy and procedures across all business areas, with the skill to interpret the impact these may have on the organisation.
  • Working knowledge of local & central estates, fleet and facilities usage and issues.
  • A detailed understanding of the operational and cultural context within which the organisation works.
  • Proven ability to research, develop and implement new policy and processes and provide advice to force management and other departments.
  • Ability to formulate and implement business strategies within a corporate framework.
  • Effective interpersonal skills; able to influence at the highest level of the organisation.
  • Confident and informed decision making skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

Desirable

  • Recognised business qualification.
