Essential
- Experience related to the specialist field of computers, computer investigations or computer;
- Must possess integrity and professionalism at the highest standard;
- Must be a dynamic motivated individual who seeks a challenging role in policing and able to work with minimal supervision;
- Must possess a high level of flexibility in order to respond to new and dynamic information;
- Must possess a good understanding of the benefits of accurate information and the ability to assess and utilise this knowledge to maximum effect in furtherance of Regional and National objectives;
- Must be willing to work on live scenes in potentially uncomfortable environments;
- A technical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills, being adaptable and open to change, embracing new ideas and ways of working;
- Should have the ability to utilise the Internet understanding how it can enhance investigations;
- Be able to concentrate on high volumes of information and provide analysis and inference to inform operational decision making;
Desirable
- Experience of forensic laboratory practices and procedures, evidence handling and court presentation;
- Knowledge of malware, database construction and network investigation;
- Programming Skills – VBA, Python, PHP etc;
- Experience working in an ISO 17025 Environment;
- Experience in managing a Windows Domain environment;
- Experience in dealing with server hardware;
- Experience in working with SQL.
