Communication Data Investigator
- A good working knowledge of communications network technologies, internet technologies and communications data analysis.
- Proven computer literacy and keyboard skills.
- An awareness of criminal law and procedures relevant to the role, for example CPIA, PACE, RIPA, Human Rights Act, Data Protection Act, Terrorism Act.
- Experience of risk assessment and decision making in a dynamic environment.
- Experience of interpreting and analysing complex data sets.

- An awareness of criminal law and procedures relevant to the role, for example CPIA, PACE, RIPA, Human Rights Act, Data Protection Act, Terrorism Act, MLAT, EIO, Investigatory Powers Act.
- Specific working knowledge of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, Part l Chapter ll/and/or Investigatory Powers Act.
- Experience in the intelligence arena and/or investigative skills.
- To have passed an accredited College of Policing training course for the acquisition of Communications Data.
- Experienced in the use of forensic cell site analysis and radio frequency propagation surveys.
- Qualification in digital forensics, radio frequency propagation surveys, network readings or similar would be desirable.
- Specific working knowledge of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, Part l Chapter ll/and/or Investigatory Powers Act.
- Experience of presenting evidence in court and preparing statements of evidence.
- Experience in chairing meetings at local and regional level.
- Basic supervisory/managerial experience including mentoring and coaching.
- Experience in writing evidential statements or reports for presentation in Court.
- Must have a good working knowledge of ISO 17025.
