Knowledge & Experience


Essential:
  • Substantial experience of working with volunteers or in a volunteer organisation
  • Substantial and recent experience in a co-ordination or administration role, preferably within a HR, training or personal development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain standards of integrity, discretion and confidentiality when handling information.
Desirable:
  • Experience in working within regulated youth activity or youth services would be desirable
  • Experience of stakeholder management, including managing personal, departmental and organisational reputation.
  • Knowledge of existing HR, L&D, and/or resourcing IT systems
Skills: 

Essential:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across a spectrum of stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ensuring that a wide variety of competing demands are managed without compromising standards.
  • IT skills particularly Microsoft Office for production of documents Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear, accurate reports and appropriate sharing of information 
  • Flexible approach to solving problems and ability to cope with a variety of situations.
  • Ability to manage own workload, prioritising when required and taking initiative to resolve problems
