About the role:


The Case Progression Assistant involves carrying out the following roles which are invaluable to the good work carried out by the department.

  • Review of digital Remand Files.

  • Review of GAP & Youth Files

  • Review of NGAP file.

  • Completion of Allocation Spread-sheets.

  • Review and inputting of charges onto the court system ( LIBRA )

  • Completion of FIN Lines.

  • Review and allocation of Case Action Plans.

  • Review and completion of Crown Court Running Lists.

  • Review and uploading of CCTV.

  • Completion of PNC checks and uploading of previous convictions into EFB.

  • Daily post

  • Reviewing and despatching Postal Charge Requisitions.

  • Completion of ICIS / EFB technical issues allocated by IT Service desk.

  • Re setting and setting up of ICIS and EFB accounts from requests from around the organisation.

  • Review of Pre Charge matters.

  • Provide administrative support to Case Progression Officers.

  • Personal resilience, flexible, adaptive
  • Able to use routine office systems, including filing, photocopying, registers, logs and complete statistical returns to require quality standards
  • Ability to use or be trained on a range of operational computer applications and communication systems ICIS, EFB, PNC, LIBRA and OUTLOOK
  • To be aware of the Force policies in relation to equality and diversity and challenge instances of non-compliance
  • To be aware of own responsibilities and actions concerning health and safety at work and report shortfalls in health and safety to line management
