Business Analyst (2 year secondment/fixed term contract)
About you
The ideal candidate will be able to deliver a creative and innovative approach to their work in coordinating a challenging transformation and improvement programme across NABIS supporting our strategic vision. Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager you will be proactive and independent, with experience of managing senior stakeholders you will have experience in the delivery of service change, supporting multiple diverse work streams and business transformation projects.

Office hours are generally 36.5 per week Monday to Friday, though on occasions there be a necessity to work additional hours and occasionally at weekends. This is a demanding, exciting job which is challenging but also very rewarding.
Essential skills and Experience
Business Analysis, information modelling and business process modelling: Knowledge and experience of using various tools and techniques to help understand and document a business and its operation across all areas of the operating model (people, processes, locations, systems, partners, information, and performance metrics)· End to end experience of project lifecycle with proven experience of interacting directly with end users.
Information capture Techniques: The selection, application and successful use of information gathering methods, tools and techniques that are appropriate to the information required and the sources available.
Post holder will typically be professionally qualified and/or 4-5 years’ experience in similar/related roles or have a proven track record of relevant work experience demonstrating deep, specialised and/ or broad knowledge of a field of work experience.
Demonstrable evidence of the use of continuous improvement / process optimisation tools and techniques.
Demonstrable evidence of analysis skills and documenting complex business processes, both in the AS IS and TO BE state.
Ability to understand the strategic aims and objectives of the organisation and be able to work at a strategic level with Chief Officers and other senior members of staff.
Strong numerical and verbal critical reasoning ability in order to think strategically, logically and clearly, and to take rational decisions and decisive action under pressure.
Results orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good presentation skills – both written and verbal.
Possesses a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Demonstrable evidence of problem solving skills for both simple and complex problems.
Experienced and competent in the use of MS Office applications (specifically Sharepoint,Visio,Word,Excel and PowerPoint).
Desirable skills/experience
Substantial Business analysis experience and ideally some management or professional responsibility, development and implementation experience.
ISEB BCS Diploma.

You will need to own a UK passport and you will need to have resided within the UK for a minimum of 3 years due to vetting requirements.
Selection Process
The application process for this position will be by application form and then assessment and interview should you be selected for shortlisting.
Should you meet the statutory requirements, your application will be assessed by at least one independent assessor for evidence of experience and achievements against the above essential and desirable criteria. It is essential therefore that you provide evidence of meeting these criteria, using examples of your skills and experience, and what role you played in each scenario.
The closing date for this role is Tuesday 1st September with Interviews taking place during the week commencing 7th September. An online assessment will be required to be completed by all applicants by midday on Wednesday 2nd September that will be used as the primary method for shortlisting. You must therefore ensure that you are available to complete the test by that time and you provide a valid email address in your application. Assessments can be sent to applicants before the closing date who have finally submitted their application.
If your application is shortlisted for interview, you will be invited to attend a competency based assessment and interview process where you will be asked to provide examples of real life challenges you have faced that show you have the experience and are the right person for the job.
