Essential
- Degree in an engineering or construction related subject (or equivalent professional qualification) with relevant building services experience.
- Membership of a relevant professional body.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
- Knowledge of legal, Health and Safety Legislation within the construction industry.
- Ability to manage concurrent diverse projects in a multi-site working environment.
- Good overall knowledge of building services, with more detailed knowledge of at least three building services (e.g. heating, aircon, generators, emergency lighting, welfare equipment. This is only a sample, our list is much longer.)
- Familiarity with Building Regulations and the legislation and common standards relating to building services.
- Ability to effectively manage contracts and contractors.
- Proficient in the use of common IT tools such as MS Office.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and prioritise workloads.
Desirable
- Chartered Engineer
- Working understanding of public sector contract and procurement procedures.
- The ability to innovate.
