Essential
  • Degree in an engineering or construction related subject (or equivalent professional qualification) with relevant building services experience.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of legal, Health and Safety Legislation within the construction industry.
  • Ability to manage concurrent diverse projects in a multi-site working environment.
  • Good overall knowledge of building services, with more detailed knowledge of at least three building services (e.g. heating, aircon, generators, emergency lighting, welfare equipment. This is only a sample, our list is much longer.)
  • Familiarity with Building Regulations and the legislation and common standards relating to building services.
  • Ability to effectively manage contracts and contractors.
  • Proficient in the use of common IT tools such as MS Office.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and prioritise workloads.
Desirable
  • Chartered Engineer
  • Working understanding of public sector contract and procurement procedures.
  • The ability to innovate.
