Assistant Financial Accountant
Experience
& Skills
You will need:
- Experience of reconciling financial data, checking and
challenging information feeding into the accounting system.
- Experience of designing, implementing and managing
finance processes.
- Broad experience and knowledge of accounting systems.
- Experience/knowledge in all relevant statutory, regulatory and professional accounting standards.
- Analytical and judgement skills – ability to question
financial information and draw conclusions.
- Planning and organisational skills – able to solve problems and manage conflicting demands.
- Strong attention to detail and be highly organised.
- To have started a CCAB or equivalent (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA) finance qualification.
- Proficiency in the use of Excel.
- Experience of a General Ledger Finance system, ideally Oracle.
Conditions
Based
at West Midlands Police head- quarters at Lloyd House in Birmingham city
centre, you will work a 36.5 hour week. There is a requirement to work flexibly
at all times with regard to workloads and priorities.
